About
Pedram Rasti Asian Art was founded in 2017 and specialises in Chinese art, with a focus on jades, scholars objects, sculptures, ceramics and works of art. The first gallery space was in the prestigious St. James’s area of London.
Pedram began his career at Christie’s London in 1994 and became the Director and Head of the Chinese Department at Christie’s King Street. His time at Christie’s was marked by the achievement of numerous world record auction results at that time including the sale in 2005 of the van Hemert jar, an exceptionally rare and important Yuan dynasty blue-and-white ceramic jar, a magnificent and rare Yuan dynasty blue-and-white ceramics jar decorated with a ‘fish’ pattern in 2006 and a pair of Qianlong mark-and-period famille-rose double gourd ceramic vases with ‘butterfly’ design in 2017.
In addition to advising important private collectors, he holds two exhibitions a year. The gallery will be opening a new space in central London.
